NZ DAY 23
MANGAWHAI COASTAL TRACK: Mangawhai Heads to Pakiri 30KM (Total KM's walked 451)
Today started with a estuary crossing and ended with a beach walk. There were suppose to be 3 river crossing and due to the tide being high we expected these to be deep.....however they were only about ankle deep. The days off in Waipu did not do the trick, leg still sore and feeling really unenergised. Where as a good nights sleep was rejuvenating my body I feel as litheness in the morning as I do walking into camp at night. I don’t know if that’s my body saying it needs a break or just how it feels to push the body hard.
HIGHLIGHT: The lovely beach walk
LOWLIGHT: Dinner tonight was pretty average, food general on the trail is less than appetising . Basically it gets eaten because your starving after walking
Grateful for the ability to dream bigger than normal. The fact each day is a new chance to begin again and my body needs to adhere to this. LOL. Grateful that life is full of suprises.
