HORRIBLE HORRIBLE DAY
Today was an absolute nightmare, highway walking all day in the rain. Everything is wet through, pack, clothes spirits. Due to the rain, progress was slow, so instead of arriving with plenty of time to pray we arrive with 5 minutes to spare. David rushed straight to the office before it closed to ask about the free accomodation whilst Elvira and myself tried to start to bring feeling back into our feet. After securing the broom closet to sleep in, thoughts turned to food, no-one wanted to brave the weather again to get food so tonights dinner consist of a couple of chocolate bars, a few nuts and a protein bar. Today begs the question of how hard do you push when the shit hits the fan.?
LOWLIGHT: The whole bloody day
God Im trying to find gratitude when it is hard, wet, cold and miserable. But I am grateful for my strong legs it makes a horrible day like today easier when not in pain. Grateful for this sleeping place for free. I think it might be a broom cupboard but the ladies in the office took pity on the three drowned mice and brought us over hot green tea and a kettle, it was a lovely gesture.
Sidenote from David: I was grateful for my poncho, I was dry, I enjoyed the walk and the warm tea that the temple staff provided. Gambatte
