The magic of the Camino is the people. The people that you share your journey with, the people you share your food, your challenges and your laughter. Those that support you when you are tired, who gently remind you why your doing the camino. Those that when the going got tough or you wanted to add transport or sometimes just by walking with you for a while taking your mind of the road. How quickly the miles disappear with someone to share the road with. There are those that in telling their story add to your experience, and those with lessons that you needed to learn. There there are others who whinge and complain and bring you down. Yes on the Camino as in life there are the good, the bad and the ugly.
You get time to ask yourself and others the question. Are we here simply to entertain or are we worthy of more? Do we add to people lives by helping them to become stronger to expand to keep moving forward. Could this be the lesson of the Camino? To move forward in life one has to embrace the mission of helping others to be the best they can be, and by helping other we become the best version of ourselves.
Thank you to all the people and friends we met on this awesome journey. You contributed to our amazing life changing journey. The road was hard at times but spirits stayed high, knowing at the end of each day we would be embraced by your friendship love and encouragement.
